Icon3 CEL light again

Well like 3 weeks ago my cel light came on with my ABS or shortly after. I unplugged my battery for a lil bit and then reconected it. My CEL went off but my ABS is still on.....Well this morn my CEL came on again, im wondering if it has something to do withe the ABS light?? I know its electrical because my gauges are reading fine, and i dont notice anything wrong with my truck..

Im gonna get the the CEL light pulled Friday, i hope its not some bullcrap i have to replace $$$!

When they run the code reader, would it tell if my rear brakes needed changeing?? cuz the other morning i started my truck up and rode to the end of the driveway and braked at the stop sign and the rear "clanked and lil bit and felt like it hung up"???

your brakes are locking up because they were wet, its a ranger thing.

and not there not going to be able to tell you if you need brakes just by hooking a code reader up, you need to pull your wheels for that.
Alrighty then, thank you..ill repost when i get the code read...

Check the big black connector under the drivers seat for water intrusion. I had a CEL and brake light come on, pulled that connector apart and there was moisture in it. Cleaned it up with some CRC contact cleaner, applied some dilectric grease and was good to go.

It goes inside the cab from underneath the truck. Ford eliminated it after 2003 i believe. I just remember if I would hit a really good puddle it would cause my gauge cluster to really light up lol
