my speedometer wasnt working, so i asked around and found out were the sensor was, i took it out and the gear on it was messed up...so i bought a replacement and installed it, and my speedometer still isn't working, is there something else is should be looking at?

Good chance it's the speed sensor in the center of the rearend, and it doesn't have a gear on it...............it sends a signal to the speedo from the exiter ring on the ring gear.
