Hey guys,

My driver side taillight housing is shattered so I'm in the market for new taillights for my 2001 Ranger.

Do you guy think it would be best just to get replacement taillights or in your opinion do custom taillights look decent on Rangers?

I really haven't seen many rangers at all with unique taillights.

Yeah the black housing ones aren't to bad.

I was thinking about getting black soft 8's with new tires anyways...it would look decent with the black housing lights

Naw it's green..

Only downside is I'm not sure how the black would look on the dark green, especially since I have gray fender flares and that bed liner type guard.

I could possibly paint those things black.

 

oh it looks black in the picture... yea my old '99 ranger was green.
im not sure how black acessories would look on that color...

I'm not crazy about them, but they're not terrible either. IMO, the best looking tails on a Ranger and the '06+ stock tails.

 

Ew, the only tails that I like at all are stock Ford ones. All aftermarket ones look like butthole to me. I say 06+ Ford ones or bust.

 

I say you do what you want, be different, don't get 06+ tails like everyone else on the site, it's like if you don't have them they shun you. If you go black accents on a green truck it will look sexy. I say get them.

IMO there are better ways to spend money on your truck then tail lights. I dont understand the obsession with changing them out.

Wana spend $100 on your rig? get some james duff traction bars or... start saving for a lift & tires

i kept the stock red oem look a likes but there led cus i like to stand out but still be classy not trashy and i got them only for 150

 

06 tails are the only tail you need...
