Turning brake rotors
about how much does it cost to have rotors turned? i havent had a chance to look at my parents brakes but i think the rotors are still well above minimum thickness so turning them should be fine. or should i just not bother and get new rotors entirly.
what are your thoughts?

"Turn um"
Take those rotors to Oreilly or Autozone. Their charge is minimal to turn them. Put a new set of pads on warped rotors and you won't like the peddle wobble when you push on the brake. It is a lot cheaper to turn them than buy new especially if you don't need them. They will let you know as they will measure the thickness before turning them. I've had my rotors turned twice on my "94" Ranger and haven't had to buy new yet but this will probably be the last time. I don't know about the vehicle you mention but you may have to repack the front wheel bearings also. If it needs brake pads it needs this service. If you don't feel comfortable doing this type service take it to a reputable repair shop. Those front wheels are pretty important at 75 miles an hour.
