2011 Reverse Light Question

Hey guys. I have been looking all over for a bright LED reverse light but seems not to many carry the 3155 with good reviews. Any recommendations?

Already seen it bud. The new Rangers have the 3155 reverse lights. Mini wedge type. Unless I missed something in that thread

I believe both the 3155 and 3156 use the same base (WBS8 and C6 filaments). The only real difference between the two is in their wattage ratings. The 3155 is rated at 20 watts and the 3156 is rated at 26 watts.

Take a look at this link. Scroll down to the 3155 and 3156 Click Link These are both T25 Wedge Base size S8 bulbs.

The 2011 owners manual Click Link on page 43 only references the bulbs by their trade name as 3155.

I would not recommend putting a 3156 in place of a 3155 due to the difference in current draw between the two.

Here's GE's bulb chart. Look on page 11 Click Link

I'm looking to put LED reverse lights in it, which was the reason for the question. From what I gathered the 3155/56 are the same base & size? If so I'll put a 3156 in

Yes, they're the same base and size. I'd check with some of the members here who make them and see if the can tell you the actual total current ratings per bulb for the LED's. As long as they don't pull more than 1.7 amps each you should be ok.
