No it is not included at least up to a 2004. It was a huge ordeal getting the light to not blink on my topper on my truck, I had to pull out a wiring schemaatic and find a wire for the dealer to wire to that had only a brake input. The dealer kept replacing the logic box and within a week it would start blinking with the turn signal again.

Why does it matter if the light blinks or not? Seriously, it's just a light....

Yes, if a third brake light blinks it is annoying as hell.

If you get annoyed by that, I'd say you've got some issues.

i suppose i have issues then. i'm thinking i might just run it from the existing third brake light.

is there anyway to tap into the trailer harness? I dont have a hitch, but there seems to have a trailer plug sticking out below the bumper. is this a factory wire harness for towing something off the bumper?

That "green wire" should've run all the way back to the rear bumper and be capped off. They changed the wiring harness mid-2002 to not include this wire. Rwenzing has a photo of where this is located, but to explain it it'd be on the driver's side framerail just behind the spare. You'll have to open the wire loom but I'm 99% sure it's there. It was on my 02 that was built in February.
