Oil pressure gauage

I just noticed that my oil pressue gauage is not moving. What I mean is, when I start the truck up, it moves to dead center. Upon accelration, it stays right where it is. Now on my Camaro, when I press on the gas, the oil pressure gauage goes from 35-40 to 60 +.

Is there something wrong with my gauage or sending unit?

P.S. 1996 Ranger XLT Supercab.

Thanks,
Chris

The sending unit is actually just an on/off switch triggered by a minimum pressure. Your gauge is operating as designed.
