Restoring my dad’s old ranger. New motor and everything else new. New computer. Dumping to much fuel. Fowling out the Spark plugs. Bogs down when you give it gas. Anybody else seen this. If so what did you do to fix it. Any help would be very much Appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

Which engine?
2.9l V6
2.3l 4cyl

No not a common issue

There is a fuel pressure regulator(FPR) on the engine
There are 2 fuel lines that come in from the drivers side of engine bay
One goes to the fuel rail(its the IN from pump and filter)
One goes to FPR, looks like a small can, and it also has a Vacuum hose attached, this is the OUT back to gas tank

Check the vacuum hose for gasoline, if found replace FPR, extra fuel can be sucked in if FPR's diaphragm fails/leaks

2.9. I replaced the pump in the tank and on the frame rail also replaced the fuel regulator on the motor. I have not replaced the can. Be I will tomorrow.
