Steering Wheel slop

When Im driving, and even when the truck is off, I can turn the wheel quite a bit both directions like its loose. It has quite a bit of slack. Only problem is.. it's not loose. How do we fix this? I'm scared to drive my truck cause I feel like it's gonna fly off a cliff, this problem makes me squrve a little bit. We think maybe some bushings, or joints are wore out. Anyone have any ideas?
