rough idle and misfire

got a question. over the last month every time i start my stop it has a rough idle . It was randomly misfire while driving and its eating gas. At first i thought it was the spark plugs and wires because the truck also had a bad shake. we replaced them and there was no change. the shake did go away though. the engine light was on so i had the codes read and it said that i had bad o2 sensors . i replaced the 2 upstream o2 sensor and still there is no change.
any ideas on what this might be? i was told it could be the ignition coil but the engine codes only showed o2 sensors.

I'm not sure if a bad/failing coil pack will throw a code or not. Heres a test you can do if you have access to a multi meter. My friends Vw Golf was misfiring and running like hell till he replaced the coil, now it runs silky smooth again.
