Tail lights via custom boards
turn signals
dome lights

Lets go all the way into resistors, boards, etc.

You'll need a resistor for each led or each set/array of led's.
The value will depend on the individual led's specs, the supply voltage & how many led's you're running on a single circuit.

Lots of people think it's as easy as switching out a regular bulb for a led, but 99.999% of the time the led will fry within 10 seconds of power applied due to over powering the led.

Every led has a long & short lead wire, one must go to a +voltage while the other must go to a -ground. Wire it backwards & the led won't work.

I've done a ton of LED conversions for OEM fog switches (including the little - dash indicator), 4x4 switch & headlight switch bulb holders.
My system uses the OEM bulb holders (except for the - indicator on the fog switch but that's a little different) and there's NO additional wiring necessary. Simply remove the old bulb & plug in the led mod.

Some modification needs to be done to the bulb holders, but they will work exactly as they did before.

I still haven't perfected a simple plug-n-play mod for the cruise pods, but I should have one whenever I get caught up with other projects.

There are a ton of resources online with led tutorials & calculators.

Google the member named "N3elz" and find his signature. Click on his Cardomain site and within' his cardomain, there is an EXCELLENT tutorial on LED's. You'll also find the original first how-to's on LEDing the interior switches and color changing the clusters.

Edit: effit.....here's a link to John's cardomain and the specific page I'm speaking of...

search my threads.. it might make your PC overload though. I've done just about everything there is to do, and I'm still inventing new LED mods.

thats due to selecting the wrong resistor? is there a chart somewhere that can use for a single led that shows the correct resistor to use?
