Which color wire gets the resistor?

I am going to install LED front turn signal bulbs. What color wire do I put the resistor on? Black, purple of green?

Thanks for the help!

get an electronic flasher and you won't have to install any resistors on your truck!

just go to the parts store and say you need an electronic flasher for your 01, I think yours is a 5 pin, my truck was a 2 pin but it fixes any LED turn signal issues. Mine cost 9.99 too by the way

Where and how do you install a flasher?
If i don't get an answer tonight about the resistor I may do that, but I have the front end apart now for something else and have the resistors in hand.

Resistors go on the ground side, which should be the black wire.

The flasher is under the dash on the driver side. The knee board needs to be removed for best access. Its a yellow relay sized box plugged to the harness. Its the best way to do this.

Resistors sadly cost more than the new flash and are harder to install.

I guess I'll look into a new flasher. I have had the resistors sitting in a box for about a year anyway, nothing wrong with them sitting there longer.
