voltmeter

I got an autometer voltmeter gauge on ebay for next to nothing the other day and it came in the mail today. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I should wire it up. Tried looking on here but couldn't find anything. I wanna try to splice into something but not sure where. I looked online and the only thing I found was to connet pos to pos battery terminal and neg to ned battery terminal. Any suggestions, pics or wiring diagrams are always a plus. thanks

How about wiring it up across the battery so it measures the battery's voltage. Isn't that what the gauge is suppose to do?

you can hook it up 2 ways, constant power, or switched... i would recommend switched... basically, neg goes to ground, and pos goes to a switched power source (key on) this way the meter doesn't drain your battery when the ignition is off...

find an ignition power source, it's not the best idea, but i personally love sticking a ring connector to the supply side of a a fuse, in the fuse box... that's how my CB is hooked up... just make sure that your item is fused also...
