Icon4 flashing 4wd lights....help

The 4WD high and low lights are flashing i think four times as i drive in 2wd. i DID search on the forums for what it may be but my case is different from everybody elses. I currently have my center dash out, which houses the radio, foglight switch, and 4x4 switch. it has never done this before so i assume it is because my switch is not hooked up?

i really wouldn't know much about this but that might sound like it is it or there is something wrong with the transfer case. Someone will chime in on what is up in a little.

i apologize, they flash 6 times, not 4. it must be because my switch is not hooked up because ive only got 75k miles and i assume it isn't my transfer case. we will see once i put i back in. currently painting that center dash to match my truck.

its fine. i just finished putting my dash back in....now is color matched with my truck....kinda a pain project cuz there was rubbery crap on it b4 and took forever to get off but looks good now. Hooked the switch back up...the lights flashed once and just stopped. :-)
