Torque on Spindle Nut on 2wd Front Brakes

Torque on Spindle Nut on 2wd Front Brakes

Does anyone know how tight the nut on the spindle nut. I'm redoing the front brakes and when I took the spindle nuts off they werent even finger tight so i just wanna know how tight its suppose to be

very tight.

they're your brakes so you want them to stay on the truck. crank them very hard a few times, then that night after a drive do them again.

He stated spindle nut , not caliper bolts.
There is a torque spec for sealed bearings,I don't know off-hand.

Tighten them all the way down then back off to where you can grab one of the lugs and spin the rotors and they should only turn once.

all above wrong. my god...

torque to 18 ft lbs, spin rotor to seat bearings, back off half turn, torque to 22-25 INCH lbs. yes it will feel loose. this is ford spec. if you dont know what 22 inch lbs is, turn it as tight as you can by hand, then a 1/16th turn with a wrench.
