Fog lights on a non fog light truck...
I've got a 2000 ranger that did not come factory with fog lights. I am wanting to purchase the factory lower valance with fog light holes and add factory fog lights to my truck. What would be the best way to wire up these lights? I was wondering if I could possibly wire them in so that my factory light switch would turn them on?

Alright, i just copy and pasted it so here is, im not sure if its the same on your 2000, so hopefully someone can chime in and help ya outty...
I would use a relay triggered by the solid brown wire from the headlight switch.
The fogs would be allowed whenever the parking or headlights are on, high or low beam. To provide a way to turn them off, a switch could be put in series with the relay coil.
This is basically what you want except with the green wire attached to the brown at the H/L switch.
Make sure that you adequate wire gauge, correctly fused near the source.

i have a 94 ranger with out the fog lights, and im going to get them tomorrow ish, sometime this week, but i want to be able to turn them on with my parking lights and/or headlights. there will be a another switch in case i just want the parking lights, then i can flip the switch and have fogs and parking lights.
well, any idea on how to like, splice off the parking lights switch, into a relay or something, to power the fog lights? hope i was clear enough, if not i'll try to to explain a little deeper. thank you
