Weight of my Ranger?

It is a 2004 4x4 ECSB XLT with soft tonneu, bed liner, the westin step bars, and the hitch removed.

What does it weigh? I need to know 'cause I got a new Escort/Passport GT1 GTimer and want to calibrate it correctly to make some 1/4 runs with the Ranger and get an estimate of whp.

Let me know. Thanks!

If you have a local metal dump you gcan go there and they can weigh you truck for you. Also other places to check are junk yards and weigh stations. That is the most accurate way to check.

I can help narrow it down. A year or 2 ago I went to the dump and my truck was around 4600lbs (I think) and if your 4wd I think you add another 600lbs.

That seems a little high considering the post made just after yours. Somebody's scales are off. My Lightning weighs 4750.

Try looking at the build sticker in the drivers door.

go to your local truck stop.....pay them $20 to use their scales.....they are the most accurate scales out there since they have to be DOT certified.....and truckers are relaying on the to not be off....

You can go to a truck stop. They usually charge you $8 but you can either measure the entire truck weight or measure the weight on the front and the rear axle. It's accurate within 10 lbs and is certified by the state on a semi-annual basis.

do it with A full tank and add your weight. For the programmer it will be more acurate since you are always in it when its being driven. And that will be the average heaviest weight of all.
But the 1/2 tank works great for the law of averages. Since you fuel is depleting constanty the weight will always lower form a full tank. But think of this... If your the kinda guy who doesnt let it go below 1/4 or 1/2 tank. you can go there with a tank some where inbetween full and your MINIMAL point.

You have options.

Here are some quotes from a post on another forum about the GT-1 GTimer and a little test I did. LOL

$48 with shipping.

Brand new Escort/Passport GT1 GTimer!

Cheaper than a trip to the track.

Pay attention to the 14th (I think) post down about an early test result:

Mental note to self: Launching the Ranger will require FEATHERING the throttle. The 4.0 LIKES bolt-ons.

Well, I tried the timer today. I need to adjust the roll out, etc. to get more accurate times and I need to figure out just what my shift points and weight are to get a HP figure, but I was driving to get some gas and I thought I would stop and try it. Only calibration done was pushing the calibration button in the driveway. No finer settings done.

Well I though I would just flat foot the Ranger and let her go. Immediately it started spinning like crazy (60ft time was DISMAL) so I said "**** it" and stayed in it to see what it would do. 1st, 2nd, 3rd for a ways. I was impressed.

Time was not that great though: 16.03 quarter at 93mph (poor, but expected with the wheel spin. [see below]). I let up on it a little because of someone that had pulled out of the yard sell up the road. Gotta learn to launch and hate the spin.

0-60 in 8 seconds flat (On a later run to just 70mph while rolling out a few feet and then punching it. I figure that it can run a mid to high 7sec 0-60 easily with a proper launch. Suprising again.).

I took a pic out the windshield after getting back from the gas station. The guys in the tent up the road selling yard sale stuff were pointing and talking about it when I went back through.

Thanks. That helps. How many tools?

All I have diff. than stock is the soft tonneu, bed liner, the westin step bars, the hitch removed and that is about it that might make a difference.
