Icon5 brake pedal is spungy

hey guys, ive got an 04 4x4 and i have to press far on the brake pedal to stop. The rear drum shoes are new and the fron brakes are about a year and a half. Maybe its time to get new pads up front? i bled the whole system and its still real soft. what gives??

is the pedal "soft" or is it "low"? i would try adjusting the rear brakes and make sure that the self adjusters are functioning properly

What fixed mine and helped a ton is i got some special grease for the caliber sliding pins. I couldn't believe how much a difference it made.

Check fluid level, pad thickness, adjustments, and bleed brakes. Believe it or don't... brake fluid is supposed to be changed every two years as part of maintenance. It will absorb moisture and compress under pressure.

its soft... when i start my truck the last dash lights to turn off are the ABS and BRAKE light, they stay on for about 2 or 3 seconds then turn off.

Throw her in reverse going 20, then slam on the brakes!

another thing to make a spongy feel is look at the brake lines while someone steps on the brake while the truck is running and feel them for expansion, also, make sure there is no rust or debris between the backing of the brake pad and the caliper, make sure the guide pins are lubed, and make sure the drums and shoes arent wearing tapered

symptoms of a bad or leaking booster would usually be a hard pedal, not saying it couldnt be though
