Weird noise when turning.

I wasn't really sure where to put this, so I dropped it in here.

Whenever I make a left turn in my truck, I get a ticking sound from the left front wheel. It doesn't seem to do it from the right side. I'm not sure how to describe it.....It sounds like a light grinding or something but isn't as loud as a brake disc grinding. The only thing I could think of was something in the hubs. When I had the factory wheels, I popped off the center caps to see if maybe they were making the noise or there was something in there. Nothing. Took it to the dealer.....and they couldn't find anything either. The truck sees more garage time then anything so it isn't like it's abused.

Any ideas? It's been doing it for awhile now. At least for a couple years. It doesn;t seem to affect anything and doesn't bother me any except that it might be hurting something internally. Any thoughts or ideas?

I have a noise that sounds like what you have. It doesnt do it only when I turn though but also just when I put the brakes on sometimes I get this ticking noise from the drivers side front wheel.

That was my first thought / concern. It makes me feel better that I'm not the only one that has it lol Maybe it's just a Ranger thing.

I'm going to check my buddy's 2003 tonight and see if hers does the same thing.

I've never noticed it on my '03 xlt 4X4. They make a bit of squeaking when you have the steering on full lock making a turn, but not really a clicking noise. Not sure on the 2 wheel drive one. could be a warped rotor, bearings, brake pads rattling. You'll just have to get in there and investigate a little.
