Check the reverse lamp housing socket for power and ground. If you dont have power, check the tranny switch.

Other areas to check: Connection behind bumper, through cab block behind the drivers seat, ground next to block.

Hop under your rig, look at your auto tranny - there should be a small nut with a cap somewhere under there going right into the transmission - pull the plug out in there and check for a positive and ground signal.. then check the plug it plugs into for a positive and ground signal - chances are your reverse sensor switch has gone bad - automatics and manuals all have these - my own only ran me 9 bucks to replace... fixed the no reverse lights issue right away :-)

mine didn't work when I bought the truck but after I jumped off a loading dock it did lol, but it probably is your switch, I would start by testing the socket then the harness under the tailgate then the plug for the switch then replace the switch

When checking the wiring in the rear of the truck, look for a ground wire, one that is attached to the body of the vehicle.
Make sure it is clean, no rust or corrosion, if not clean remove the fastener and clean to bare metal, re-attach and add some electrical paste over the connection.
