When I threw my truck in the water, I ran ATF fluid in it to clean everything out. I let the truck run in the garage, changed it, and repeated that 4 times toll the fluid stopped coming out milky. Then I ran cheap oil through it for a thousend Km's, then put the good stuff in. She is still running strong too.

CARNAGE!

its hydro static locked which means water got into everything electrical.
hydro seized is water on metal. which would be 2 of the pistons.

damn man best of luck fixing the exploder... so how did all this happen just from sucking in water in the intake? or was is cause the motor was submerged?

i had my truck under water but the intake was still above so the truck ran fine and back home, that was memorial day weekend... should i be worried about anything on my truck...

How high was the water? Not sure on a 2000 but the front axle vent tube is the low on my 2003. So any water than about 3/4 of the tire will get water in the front axle. You can easily extend that tube and the other tubes but I never got around to it.

if your truck is ideling really high and wont go into like crusin mode then yes but otherwise i'd just check the air filter and see if waters is in it if it is change it and the sensor and change your oil and oil filer cuz water in oil is bad. oh and im not a man. im a chick.

I was talking about the tranny, front and rear axle and t case vents.

Just don't go through water at 100MPH or through stuff deeper than your tires and you wont need a snorkel.
