i think my MAF is on its way out

i have a check engine light that keeps commoin on and they guy at autozone that pulled the code said he thinks its the MAF from what the sheet said.
i have been cleaning the MAF and nothing looks wrong with it everything is still perfect.

what do u guys think? and i know the MAF are not cheep and are the aftermarket performance ones worth it for the price?

The guy at Autozone is the last person you want diagnosing the problem. Don't buy anything until you post the code numbers here first.

ill have yo go back and pull the code again see what it sais, i was thinking it was like the o2 sensors or something caue there original and 130k on them lol and i'm getting horrable mpg still only getting 12-14mpg so idk what else could be wrong with it and the idle is ok sometimes it gets kinda funky and i jsut spray the MAF down and it clears it up for a wile.

ill check it out asap on the code.

thanx guys

this is kind of off topic but how do you clean your MAF sensor. I think mine has mud in it from a wheeling trip.

man this is my exact problem right now!! Im not getting any better than like 12-13 miles to the gallon..i got terrible spark knock when im on a perfomance tune with my xcal2(timing being increased amplifies the knock), and sometimes I have an erratic idle..is my MAF the problem?
