Horn

My 02 has an annoying high tone horn. I want to change it to a low tone horn like most trucks. Any information or a how to?

You know your truck has 2 horns one hi and one low. Maybe one is broken.

You should be able to swap horns pretty easy.

I installed a horn from an explorer into my truck, i find it it more than adequate, huge improvement over the stock one. The wires are plug and play.

My 04 has only one, somewhere along the way Ford got cheap. Probably about the same time they deleted the cargo light, glove box light, map lights, and the light under the hood. Some were part of an option package, but not that cargo light. Fail.

"Super Loud American Horns" from Griots Garage are great! Sound like a real truck!

Go to the junk yard, find a big van or box truck or something, grab both horns.

I'm running Astro van high and low along with the stock. Good stuff. If you add on though instead of replace, make sure it can handle the load. Relays are your friend.

I got mine for $5 for both horns, relay was 7, a few extra wires I had laying around, easy as pie.
