I got some KC Slimlites I plan to mount on some light tabs on the bumper. I know some of you have this same setup already. My question is where did you mount the relay and then how did you route the switch wires into the cab. If someone has pics of their installation that would be perfect. Thanks in advance.

 

I mounted my relay to the core support, there was a screw already there right in front of the battery. I drilled a hole in the firewall (cowl) and purchased a package of rubber grommets from the auto parts store. The reason I drilled the hole was I have alot of wires coming into the truck and there was not realy any other spot to take them.

 

made my own custom harness for all 5 of them.

 

 

you should pass those wires though the firewall
the rubber grommet for your parking brake is a nice spot

 

Yeah dont drill holes or run through your fender like that, go down the fire wall and poke a hole in that rubber piece and run the wires through, its easy, run a coat hanger through the rubber from the inside, find it from the outside, tape your wires to it , and pull it through the inside, and your done...

thats the same thing i did, very easy, very clean, definitly the best way to go.

 

I was rushed putting it in a month or so ago and haven't had time to go back and do it correctly, but running it through the firewall is on the to-do list.
