Xcal 2 sharing?

Would anyone be opposed to "sharing" their XCAL 2 programmer for nominal fees? I know that may sound a little odd, but, $400 is a lot for a tool that should be useable on multiple vehicles. If anyone is interested please let me know.

If it cannot be used on more than 1 vehicle at a time, let me know that too.

There is a reason for it too though. IF there is a problem with the calibration you can REVERT back to the old calibration to restore original specs. It seems crappy but if somthing does go wrong then you have a fall back.
The price on the other hand, I feel isn't worth just calibration. I thing you should beable to store the information on to a computer if you want to change it later. That and they could add a few more features that would make the $400 seem more appealing.
The other hand is that it works and almost everyone who has purchased it and used it are verry happy with the results.

On one of the websites I was looking at, they were selling used Xcal II's. Would they have to reprogram it again to resell it?

You can store it easily, and still do tuning yourself. Use the download to "revert" a 9415 Xcal2 to a 9400 Xcal2 and use Extreme Tune software (free form SCT).

You can ask your dealer who gave you your tunes to send them as .xtr files, and then you can tune them on your computer, and keep them stored there.

Downside? Well, you lose the on-device tuning of the 9415. But if you go over to the SCT site, you'll see some people prefer Extreme Tune over the on-device tuning features. That's why the link is available to "downgrade" your Xcal 2. Normal Xcal 2 tune files are .ll3 files which are not user adjustable except in the Xcal 2 itself.
