Okay to use tape on PCV valve hose?

The very end of the hose that connects to the pcv valve is falling apart. Is it okay to just patch it up with duct tape or electrical tape?

I will be calling some junk yards tomorrow, but ford wants $70 for the hose.

I have a 2002 3.0 v6 ford ranger.

For a temporary fix I would use gorilla tape. Call your local auto parts or full service, they may have them and for alot less than $70 for a hose that is that short is ridiculous!
