Truck & Wheel Shakes when applying Brakes

Truck & Wheel Shakes when applying Brakes. Brake pads are new, wheel bearings were regreased and checked about 3-4months ago. Rotors are new as well. Not sure why this started happening, but when I apply the brakes the wheel shakes like crazy and the whole truck also shakes until I come to a complete stop.

I'm thinking rotors or wheel bearings? Maybe they just need to be re-tightened? Never had them come loose before. Looking to bounce some ideas off you guys.

Thanks.

I had this same issue, turned out it was the rear brakes -- parking brake was locking up on the rear passenger wheel. They replaced the parking brake cable to that wheel and that took care of it.

Did you break in your pads and rotors?

Does your pedal pulse also? Did you grease your caliper slide pins when you changed brakes? The calipers may not be sliding correctly causing the wobble almost like a warped rotor. If you didn't grease them I would take them apart and do it.

Ya rotors I replaced about 6 months ago, and pads are new as of like 2 months ago.

Pedal doesn't pulse, just feel the cab shake and my steering wheel shakes. Yea I greased them when I changed pads about 2 months ago give or take. It definitely feels like a warped rotor but they usually last longer then 6 months. That's why I'm confused. I want to think wheel bearing but I would feel that while I drive and driving is fine. Its just when braking and the faster I'm going the harder the shake once brake is pressed, like on a freeway.

Hmmmm may be in the rear brakes. Doesn't hurt to look. Also try depressing the ebrake pedal and releasing a few times, that way the adjuster will turn if it needs too.

I went on a drive about 30 min ago, took freeway and all. Before I left I stomped the ebrake down 3-4 times and released it. Seemed to help slightly, but I still feel a shake on initial brake press, right before I stop completely the shake seems to ease up.

Pulled the front wheels off today. Wheel bearings are nice and tight. Rotor could be warped I guess but I can't really tell by look. It's been about 7 months since I replaced them. So maybe its just about time. Wondering if I should re use my bears in the new rotors, or just get new bearings and rides? What do you think. I got timkens in there and I've always kept them nice and greased. I'm also thinking there might be issues with the rear brakes and the parking cable.

What do you guys think?

Pop the drums and rotors off and go get them cut. Or warranty them if they came with one when you bought them from the store. Don't forget to adjust the rear brakes. I usually see the rear brakes being out of adjustment causing the front brakes to over heat and warp.

Make sure you don't just install the rotors right from the box. Take them to an automotive shop and have them resurface them for you. I can't tell you how many times rotors are delivered warped.
