Making my ranger faster?

I just want my 3.0 liter 1997 ranger faster and more zippier. What can i do to the engine to increase torque and hp? Chip/Programmer?

+1 for the pulleys.

An intake and exhaust will make it feel faster. Making more noise is always good.

Pullies, E-Fan(s), X-Cal tunes, headers, gears (doesn't add power however), exhaust, intake, etc..

Depends a lot on your budget. Check out the 3.0 section and do some searching for more.

Do the throttle cable mod first if you haven't!!

Pretty sure the man asked how to increase the performance of his truck. What you said is the equivalent to saying "If you want your Ranger higher, buy a higher truck.".

Adds as much speed as slapping AEM stickers on it.

This Thottle Cable Mod. Maybe only the older Rangers suffered from it, but mine had about a 1/2" of slack when I did it a couple years ago. Actually hit WOT when I put it to the floor after this "mod".
