only start on easy start

Hello there
I have just changed the clutch on a 4x4 2005 ranger and since then it has been trouble to start. If you use easy start it fires straight away but the longer you leave it the more it winds over before starting on in the morning will not start. Tiny spray into air filter housing then it starts and runs perfect til you stop it for a bit and try and start again. Please help as I'm stuck. Thanks.

sounds like the fuel injectors need a good cleaning

if you can find SEAFOAM across the pond -- use it

Fuel line pressure

You’re losing fuel line pressure when it sits. Look around under engine follow fuel lines sniff for gas you might be able to find it.

if this is a diesel engine then you need to check the LIFT PUMP fuel line connection for air leakage

( the lift pump is bolted to the side of the injector pump )

if there is no air leakage , then you will have to drop the fuel tank , remove the fuel sender and fuel draw housing , and replace the 1 way check valve

this little part does not last forever , it resides at the end of fuel pickup hose , it sits at the bottom of the tank

but i would suggest that you replace all of the rubber fuel hoses from the fuel tank to the lift pump .
more than likey that they are dry rotted and require replacement anyway
