It would seem unlikely, but perhaps both your bulbs low beam filiments are burned out. You may have been driving around with one burned out and did not know it; now that both are out, you notice no light with the low beams.
Replace one and see if the low beam comes back on that side, then replace the other.
Or, if you have a lest light or meter, put the low beams on, remove the bulb, and see if you have voltage to the low beam bulb socket.
