Off center steering wheel
After the last time I went "wheeling" (if you want to call it that) I realized that my wheel is tilted to the left by about 10 degrees while the truck goes straight. My alignment seems to be fine, as it does not pull to either side....the wheel is simply crooked.
I think it happened when my passenger side tire hit a big discarded cement block going about 5-6 mph and it made quite the impact.
I heard something about how this means the the tie rods got knocked out of whack and their lengths need to be equalized, and then the toe needs to be readjusted as well.
Do I have to get a full alignment job now, even though I'm not pulling to either side?
It could also be a bent steering arm or linkage. I want to check to see if thats the case before taking the truck to a shop, but i'm not sure what i'm looking for. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks for any tips.

I believe that this means that you need an alignment. The steering wheel should be straight. During an alignment the steering wheel is kept straight and the components are adjusted into specs to keep this.
You can simply throw a truck or car our of alignment by hitting a nasty pot hole. This would not suprise me if you need one.
