99 2.5L auto poor pedal response.
Well since my truck isnt in the best of shape i have been driving a 99 2.5L(i think) and its an auto.
when i go to take off i push the pedal... push the pedal.... then it freaking goes! like it has a big dead spot. it almost wants to die in that time period as well. only has 45k miles on it
kinda strange. but has anyone had this issue before? anyway to fix it? sensor maybe?

No sensors, no internal problems. Here's the quickest fix you'll ever do!
As your truck gains age, the throttle cable stretches. This stretching causes slack at the throttle pedal and leaves a "dead spot" just like you have described.
Take a Zip-tie and cram your head up under the dashboard so you can see the TOP of the throttle pedal. You'll see the throttle cable coming through, with a plastic stopper at the end retaining the spring.
Pull the throttle cable towards you (away from the firewall) so that all the slack is out. Now place the Zip-Tie on the cable to keep the slack out.
This will slightly tension the cable so it provides better and faster throttle response!
If you'd like more info, do a search on "Throttle Cable Mod", or just reply on here and I'll see what I can do.

If you don't think this is the problem, or if you've already done the Throttle cable mod, check out the IAT sensor mod. It will cause a SLIGHT decrease in gas mileage, but you'll gain lots of low-end "get up and go" torque and response!
I put my IAT mod on an A/B switch so I can return to "stock" if I want good gas mileage or the weather is cold. When it's humid or I want to go fast, I add resistance to my IAT circuit by activating the switch and dialing in the amount of resistance on my potentiometer.
I've been driving with my IAT resisted for years now, with no adverse effects!

If it's hesitating or stuttering it's definitely NOT the cable.
My daughter's 98 was getting like that, then I ended up having to replace the MAF when it died.
Not sure how accurate your symptoms were on that.
A bad TPS or something wrong in the shaft going into it machanically can also cause problems. The PCM learns it's idle strategy and when to use it based on TPS position. Having a TPS signal that doesn't change properly as the throttle is opened can cause problems like you describe.
