1993 RANGER 2.3 engine started, turned it off,then it would not restart.
checked on computer,said pcm was bad .any info on chaning pcm

There is no way to test a computer and they rarely fail, not never, rarely

50/50 test
Spray gasoline or Starting Fluid(ether) into the intake
Try to start engine

If it starts then you have spark but are out of gas or fuel injection system is not working

If it doesn't start then there is no spark, or no compression

First look if the timing belt is turning when you try to start, 2.3l can break timing belt and then no compression so no start.

The ICM(ignition control module) runs the spark on a '93 2.3l
It is located on the front of the intake, most auto parts stores can test these, and they were a common failure

PCM(computer) is in engine bay drivers side behind wheel well against firewall
