Just put LED taillights in

Welp, picked up some LED taillight bulbs and got them installed. I need to get the load equalizer, but they are working fine for right now. For being mounted the way that they are, they still light up the housing really well.

Look for pics very soon. I have also ordered the front turn signals, marker lights, CHMSL light, and dome light replacement.

What brand & model did you use. I've yet to find a set that were bright enough for my satisfaction.

I am running Jam Strait's Both of those pics are just the running lights, not applied pics. The vids that I have show them flashing to give an idea of the brightness.

Sweet! That is the idea, they react quicker than regular bulbs. I really like that part about them. I can't wait until the rest of my order shows up!

I've tried a few sets, although not the Jam Strait ones, and they all were worthless. I've heard good things about the Jam Straits, I guess I should give them a try. The instant on/off of LEDs is on the top of my list of obsessions.

I actually read somewhere that the instant on/off of newer LED traffic lights can effect the timing enough to equal 20-40' of extra stopping distance.

Cool!

The bulbs are listed just like regular bulbs. If you go to autozone, they have a book there with the bulb numbers that you will need. Or I am sure the n3elz has them memorized lol

Wedge base front parking/turn and rear stop/tail/turn are 3157.
Wedge base brake only and reverse are 3156

Twist-lock type base front parking/turn and rear stop/tail/turn are 1157.
Twist-lock base brake only are 1156

Front corners are 194

Obviously, make sure you get the right color for each number.
