Anybody change the color of led cruise buttons?

I have some cruise control switches from an 05 to change the color and swap with my 04 cruise switches when i start with my red led dash conversion. When i took them apart i found that they already have led's in them that must be green as the letter lens' are clear. So therefore i must swap those led's with the red 360 components i have. I searched for it but turned up empty handed, anybody done this yet or heard of this being done or know of a how-to?
thanks

thats odd unless it was previously modded your cruise pods should not have leds in them. Ford used tiny little incandescent thus there is a nice little tut on removing them and converting to led on cardomain. Maybe this will help you?

* side note i wish my 2000 had the wiring for the lighting in my cruse control pods :( I would have loved to do that mod

MotoUnplugged has on his 04+ cruise pods. Here's one of his threads...

*04+ ARE led already...Moto replaced those stock SMT/D(always mess it up) with different colored ones. '03 and older have little tiny incandescants in there. I've since replaced those in mine with two 5mm LED's each. '04+ clusters and cruise pods are a whole different animal than '03 and odler. lol.

oh looks like i was somewhat wrong then..you learn something every day.

In my case they would still be incandescent.. problem is its not worth replacing them as i would have to run wires through the steering clock spring which would be a major pita I cant believe ford left that wire out on 2000 models. I'm jealous of you guys that have working leds in your pods :P
