partial dash lights fading?

A part of my instrument panel lighting is fading. the speedometer over 55 mph and the rpms up to 2k are not as bright as the rest of the dash lights.

all the heater display light are fine along will everything else.

waht could be causing this partially fading light issue.

1994 3.0 xl supercab 4x4 with 168,000 miles.
