ABS issues....

when i start my ranger up, its fine just like the day i got it. Once i brake the ABS light comes on and stays on, if i break hard the red break light comes on and then goes off....any ideas what could do this?

the brake fluid might be low, when the fluid is low the float in the resevoir goes down when you brake causing the light to come on then when the truck levels out light goes out

so is if it isnt low maybe the sensor in the master cyl might be starting to go bad and the abs light could be the rear abs sensor in the diff im a ford tech and its a nown problem on ford trucks just an idea
