The thing you'd have to worry about is the airbag GEM; didnt Ford go with second generation airbags in '98?

If you swap out the airbag GEM, then wouldnt you have to swap your 97 passenger airbag to a 98+ airbag?

cause then you just need the cover and not the airbag and you can reuse yours

ya it does look out of place but must be nice to have the leather

 

aww man it is 100x nicer.......i have thought about painting it like i did the black steering column trim (it is black in the pictures, but it has since been painted grey w/ interior paint), but i dont know how well it will hold up on the airbag.....

 

dont buy it cause the guys a douchebag for making profit off the shipping...

i think they switched to the second gen in 01 because you have the same airbag as me, as far as the covering goes..

 

he isn't making a profit on shipping.......to ship an airbag, you have to put hazardous material lables in it because of the explosive charge that sets the airbag off during a crash........and UPS charges out the hind end for that type of shipment....
