It's just funny that as soon as these mice get loose in the truck the light comes on.
How did you get mice in your truck? But ya I don't know where those wires are sorry.

problem solved
it is on the latch inside the door. heres what i done to get it to go away.
remove the two screws holding the panel around the door handle and pop it off
this is how to get the window crank off. pop the cover off and remove the
t20 torx (you can also use a 7/32 hex wrench)
remove this screw
and this one.
then lift up on the door panel to remove
lift up the watershield.
heres the plug
the release is on the bottom of the plug. just push it in and pull off.
make sure you keep it out of the way of the window track and put everything back together.

Its more than likely not your switch....How would mice get in your door????They can't! So either your switch is bad or they chewed up the wire thats in your wire harness and you have to check it. Your light should go out even though your switch is bad as a vehicle safety feature so that your dome light will go out...I didn't fix mine because I like the fact that I can have my door open without the dinger goin offf!
