horn fuse and relay question

The horn in my "new" 1998 doesn't work. I tested it at the horn itself--it's loud and clear. I found the fuse diagrams on the autozone website, and swapped the horn relay with the fog light relay--no change. But the fuse diagrams for 1998 don't actually show a fuse for the horn.

Can anyone with a fuse diagram just look it up and post the number?

The cruise control works and I don't get an airbag light--how many of those would fail if it was the clockspring?

The 98 horn is on fuse #10 in the underhood distribution box. If the clockspring completely fails, it will kill the horn and cruise and turn on the airbag light.

Thanks for that. #10 is good--15 amps, right?

Since the diagram I saw was so off, I'm wondering if you could also tell me which relay your diagram says is the horn relay.

And could you also tell me what these fuses on the interior box are? #12 is missing, as are 31, 32, and 34, though I suspect these last ones might be unused.

Thanks again for your help.

The horn relay should be #7 in the underhood box. There are maps of both fuse boxes in the Roadside Emergencies section of the 98 owner's manual. Check my signature for a link to online Ford manuals if you don't have the paper version.

Shoot. Neither the fuse or the relay are problem. So I guess I'm down to a break in the wire, or something disconnected in the steering column.

Thanks for the owners manuals--very helpful.
