Headlight & Fog Light Protective Films
Does anyone have any experience with these? There are several major brands, Xpel, Lamin-x, Clear Mask.
I have read a few posts around where people have had some issues with their headlights developing hair line cracking. It was attributed to the film causing heat build up.
Anyone ever install this, how challenging was the instal?
Thanks
George

I have 3m PPF on my 328, it covers the entire front end of the car, headlamps too. The Bi-Xeons get pretty hot. the car only has 14,000 miles on it and ive seen no such signs. i bought a roll of xPel and use it in other high risk areas such as around the fuel filler neck.
I cant speak highly enough for PPF. both of my vehicles see a lot of highway driving, and my 328 is the first car ive owned that i put PPF on, it makes a world of difference, esp when it comes to stopping sand blasting and chips ect.
you have to keep it clean and maintain it just like any other part of the car. id say putting this stuff on your headlights is a great idea.
