My headlights flicker...Help!

My headlights flicker and sometimes when I hit the brights they just turn off. I replaced my headlight switch last week and though that it fixed it, but apparently it didn't. What other ideas do you all have of what could be wrong? Maybe the dimmer switch? I am heading to a cruise-in tomorrow night and I am off tomorrow so I hope to have it fixed by then.

Very likel that it IS the MFS.

However, you can't rule out a grounding problem.
Your sig suggests you have some electrical ability.
I'd check power and ground at the headlamp connector, then use a chassis ground and compare the results, low and high beam. If that is good, but you get no power when the brights are selected, MFS.

I am pretty good with vehicle electrical work. When the lights turn off if I jiggle the multifunction switch they will come on. I can change it myself, but the problem is that a new one run $130. So tomorrow I am going to run to a junkyard in Cincinnati and hopefully find one for cheap, I will let you all know if that ended up being the problem.

Thanks for the info guys

It's the MFS. Common failure. If it were a ground, the problem would be the same with both low and high.

Do you by chance have high wattage headlight bulbs or do you have those Pro Comps wired to the headlights? The wiring and components in these trucks is designed for the stock wattage and not much more.

I have the cheapo Walmart 9007's and the fog lights are wired up to their own switch and run off the battery.
