Strange Dome-Light Problem
Yes, another dome light thread. This one is a bit different though.
Lately, when I've started my truck, the dome light has stayed on too long. It stays on for about 20 seconds, then goes off. It reminds me of the delay when you first get in the truck... how it stays on so you can find the ignition. The door ajar light is on during this time, and if I turn the truck off, it dings like the door is open.
I'm wondering if I have a loose or crossed wire somewhere. Anyone know anything about the dome light timer circuits?

You simply have a stuck door switch, very common.
Use the search for "door ajar". You could add "Ford" to those search terms and Google it. Break out the WD40 and douche away, followed by a good lubricant, spray lithium grease, Remington Gun Lube, etc. WD40 evaporates, but cleans it well.
