02 fuse blown after remote start install
I took my 02 xlt into a reputable shop (or so I thought) to get a remote start installed on it...Go to pick it up and the blower motor doesn't work and the passenger air bag light is on...I take it back and the guy tells me there must be a loose wire on the steering column that keeps blowing the fuse...He replaces the fuse and all is well untill I use the remote start again and the fuse blows again right when turn the ignition on...Now I've NEVER had this problem before and there actually is no overdrive wire connected because I removed it a while ago b/c it was shorted....My question is WTF did this guy do to my truck and is it permanent???....I'm going there first thing in the morning and having them take the system out and refund my money...I have better things to do with my free time than sit at a shop all f'ng day while somebody hacks my truck up..any info is greatly appreciated

If its blowing fuse 2 (10 AMP) located inside the cab, which also powers the Passengers air bag deactivation switch as well as the backup lamps. I'd say the installer spliced into the wrong wire at some point. Its either blowing the fuse because something is shorting that circuit to ground or its causing a current draw in excess of 10 amps.
Take it back and tell them to have the tech go back over each and every connection he made until they figure it out.
