Headlight AND foglight HID projectors, do I really need them?

I'm looking at doing an HID conversion, and on amazon I saw a new pair of headlight assemblies and foglight projectors. I know, legally I need projectors...but is it worth $350+??? Also, what is a good brand for HIDs?

You might want to look into projector retrofits first

you will definatly want them, ranger headlights with hids produce terrible light output compared to other vehicles. I went with a set of projeectors in the headlights and it's waaaaaayyy better. fogs produce lots of light with hids, awesome from the driver's point of view, but i had every car, and I mean every, flash thier lights at me on a 3200 km round trip this spring, so I went back to 6000k halogens. looking into projectors for the fogs now too. may even build a set of retrofits for them, looking at hi/lo fogs that I can dim... be interesting..
