MPG guage?

I saw an MPG guage in jegs or something of a similar mag, does anyone have one of these and like it? I was thinking that it would be a good idea if I could find a small compact one, but I dont even know how they would wire up?

I'm not sure either. But alot, if not all, BMW's have one. Seems like it just reacts to injector pulsewidth and throttle position sensor inputs to figure it out.

You would go into it's setup and select your engine size by Liters. Also Gas tank size, fuel type. You can even use it show you your true speed if you change tire size.

It supports 3 rates.. slow normal and fast normal is an update every 2 seconds
fast is every second.. not sure what slow is.

you could always modify an explorer center console one, LOL. it is the one Limited thing that i will not be doing to my truck. i looked into it and it looks like WAY more work then i could ever do. now if John/Bob makes it into a mod...

It's as accurate as you want it to be. I should adjust my speed in mine so it's a little faster and will count a mile the same as the odometer. It's off like .05 miles even though I can correct it I'm to lazy to figure out what percent the difference is. It can be extremely accurate if you fill your tank the same every time. It's always been within 1 mpg. After fillup you can fine tune is some more fo how much gas you put in. It can be as accurate as you want it to be.
