Dont pull so hard you brake something. It should twist one way or another.

Well make sure you are twisting the right way. Get a pair of pliers, that should do the trick.

No, you just pull those 2 little clips holding the headlights in. You might have to unscrew a collar on the bulb then twist it and pull it out I don't really remember.

I was just going to say all these posts and no one told him HOW to do it yet. LOL

Remove the headlight, easiest way to do things without getting crammed up, besides, I don't think you can replace the headlight with the lense still installed as the header panel is in the way.

So use the two black metal slides to unlock your headlight (this is also described in your owners manual). With the headlight removed you'll see your headlight bulb harness and the turn signal harness. The headlight harness has a collar around it. Twist it so that it unlocks the headlight bulb. Slide the collar down the harness wire, grab the headlight harness at the bulb and pull straight out. No need to twist or turn, there are ribs there anyway that may prevent you from twisting. Then take the bulb out of the harness and replace. Repeat for the other headlight.

The first time is always a PITA, but you'll get better at it.

Was at a friend's auto parts store when he sold a headlight to a Ford F150 owner who mentioned that he didn't feel like pulling out the (can't exactly remember which) either windshield washer reservoir or coolant overflow tank in order to replace the driver's side headlight.

He didn't know that there were the two metal clips (same set-up as the Ranger) that could be pulled up to release the headlight assembly.

He was amazed at how simple it was compared to what he thought had to be done.

P.S. As a last resort, always consult your owner's manual

P.S.S. As always, be aware that it can be easier to take apart than to put together

P.S.S.S. You don't have to feel stupid - we've all been where you are; and in other situations, we may be where you've been . . .
