The hard part installing SilverStars

Installed my SilverStar SU bulbs today. The really hard part was getting them out of that damn bubble pack. I hate that stuff!

I forget the name, but did you ever use the pre-Ultra's? I was wondering how the Ultras compare to them.

i had silver stars, tho they burn out too fast in my opion, for $40 a set to have them burn out in 3-6 months aint worth it, i have been running xtravision bulbs for over a year now with out any probs, their equally as bright, just dont have that 'blue' tinge to them.

I've had the same Silverstars 9007's in my headlights for over 2 years now, but the 9005's for the fogs don't last. I'm usually replacing 1 every 6 months.....and they tend to go around a few weeks apart from one another.

No I never used the ST. Sylvania claims the SU are brighter. I wonder if that also means they have a shorter life.

i work at Autozone, and one person i work w/ says the Xtra visions are just as bright.. but do they have any kind of yellowish tint?

and i have had my Silver Stars for i want to say 8 months? they are still fine..

ill probably get a set of ultras after these, and then a set of xtra visions..

I bought silverstars the first week I had the truck. That was week of April 7, 2005. Still running the same set. About a month later I also found out Sylvania made silverstars for the 9145 fogs. I popped a set in that day. I recently had the driver's side fog burn out back in Oct. I'm waiting for the ultras to be available in the fogs before I purchase the ultras for my headlights.
