Stainless Brake Line Q's

Looking to get some sainless lines for my car and want the option of the outer tefloncoating.

All the major manufacturers don't have the outer coating, just sainless exposed to the air.

I have been looking at the one on ebay and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the ones on ebay, good or bad.

Thanks.

Stainless by themselves should be good for the life of the truck.

Why do you need stainless steel coated? Also what material will stick to stainless steel besides having a zinc chromate undercoating? So they coat it with teflon? What so the dirt don't stick until the dirt chips the coating and starts falling off looking like crap?

the ones with plastic coating are DOT approved, ones without are not DOT approved, that is the only difference that i know of, its got nothing to do with corrosion

The coating also helps keep the braid together. It can get torn up offroad and the braid will start to fray. I bought Crown lines for my jeep. They make the ones for Rubicon Express. They are really nice but I don't know if they make ranger ones.
