starter bolt issue

ok so i just didn a transmission swapmost everything went smooth. untill i went to bolt my starter back on i found that the bolts were the right length but not big enough they just pull out of the thredded hole. so i thought i had list my actual starter bolts, well i tried them on the old transmission and found then there were the right ones.. hy orignal tranny is an FM 146 mitsubishi from my 91 ranger. and the tranny i replaced it with is also an FM146 mistubishi from a bronco 2 year unknown. everything is done except for the starter i was wondering if any of you know what size bolts or could point me in the right direction.

thanks Nate

By pull out do you mean your bolts are to small?

Check the holes in the transmission see if some @$$ stripped it.
